Start Your BSN Coursework During Semester Breaks

Students in the Concurrent Enrollment Pathway can complete the following RN-to-BSN courses during semester breaks:

  • Transition to Baccalaureate Nursing Practice
  • Caring Science
  • Health Assessment Across the Lifespan
  • Nursing Research & Evidence-Based Practice

All courses are offered online in 8-week formats.

Earn Your BSN Faster Through Concurrent Enrollment

Samuel Merritt University and Mission College are partnering to expand access to nursing education through a Concurrent Enrollment Pathway (CEP). Eligible Mission College ADN and LVN-to-RN students can begin Samuel Merritt University RN to BSN coursework while completing their associate degree requirements—allowing students to stay enrolled at both institutions simultaneously and graduate with both degrees faster.

How It Works

Work closely with a dedicated Samuel Merritt admissions concierge who will provide personalized guidance, admissions support, and help navigating your pathway from Mission College to SMU.

Eligible Mission College CEP students may begin RN to BSN during academic breaks while completing their associate degree requirements.

Graduates will obtain both an associate degree and Bachelor of Science in Nursing—prepared to advance in a career with expanded opportunities in today's healthcare workforce.
